How to stop solving imaginary problems and live your life?

Read / Sunday, May 6th, 2018

Have you ever thought of how many problems you get or you have to deal with when don’t believe in yourself?

I’m almost sure that 80% of your problems appear because of low self-esteem. The good news is, you don’t have to actually do something about it, but relax.

I’m not telling that I’m self-esteem guru (is there a title like that?), but I’m working on myself.

Have you ever thought of how many opportunities you may have when you stop making problems on an empty place: imaginary problems?

Let me show you a few examples.

#1 Problems in a relationship (I can name thousands, but the reason is generally same). One partner doesn’t believe in himself and does not allow himself to be happy. He is not only making himself unhappy but also he is stealing the happiness of the person he loves. Generally, it is expressed with overcontrolling and mistrust.

#2 The problem of not being able to make a choice. Doubting every choice you have ever made. Should I buy this coat? Why did I buy it? I love my partner, but is he the best? Is my choice right? Will my parents approve my choice? Oh.. it already turns my head crazy.

#3 Questioning your appropriateness. Sometimes, feeling ourselves not good enough for something. It pulls you back. Such questions fill your mind and do not leave any space for things that you should really worry about.

These and many other problems could be avoided if only you would believe in yourself.

So, admit it. You are familiar with these problems. How can you help it?

Let me share with you a few easy ways.

1). Whenever you doubt yourself in a relationship or you run into fast conclusions/mistrust/overcontrol remember that you are unique. Yes, you are! If the person next to you has chosen to spend time in your company, then just enjoy it. Don’t ask him why. (I like the song of J.L. Hewitt “I love you, you love me, so take this gift and don’t ask why”).

The thing is, doubting yourself in a relationship may destroy them. It is poisonous. I wish I would never doubt myself in this way. But whenever I do, I remember all the best moments we had together and understand that we are truly making each other happy.

2). Trust your choices. Stop questioning yourself on every step you make.

It can take you some time to actually do it, so take it to learn yourself. Do you remember the movie”Runaway Bride” with Julia Roberts? She couldn’t make her choice and end up with a decision to marry. She couldn’t even know how she likes her eggs for breakfast. Then what she did? She sat and started eating all kinds of eggs one by one to understand what she really likes.

This way you can learn yourself too. Just take your time to find out about what you really like and what you don’t. Stick to your choices and don’t let others make you doubt them.

3). Overthinking is your enemy. How many times you had that scenario: something went wrong, and probably it was your fault or your wrong decision and you keep thinking about it for the next 5 years or even longer.

Guess what?

It is not helping you.

Yes, rethinking your mistakes and finding the correct decision (even for something in the past) is good. This way you learn for the future. Think about it once, find it, and get over it.

I am myself guilty of overthinking some of my mistakes. But now, every time I remember it, I remind myself that it is over and there is no point in living it over and over again. Instead, I should move on and think about something inspiring.

It is so easy to drown in a sea of imaginary problems. They poison your life, your relationship, and your self-esteem. Don’t let it happen.

It is easier to solve those problems than you might think. All you need to do is:

  • Never doubt yourself. Believe that you are unique and you deserve all the happiness in the world.
  • Trust your choices. You learn about people you meet, but sometimes you forget to learn about yourself. Find what it is you like and become confident about your choices.
  • Stop overthinking. It has never made anything good. Move on to the new life challenges instead of thinking about old mistakes. We are humans, everybody can make a mistake.

Take your time and think which problems of yours are imaginary.

Gladly you know how to deal with them. They do not worth a second of your time. Live a happier life without them.

I hope I could inspire you and make your day better. Remember to trust yourself and have a happy day!

  1. Definitely believe that which you stated. Your favorite justification appeared to be on the web the easiest thing to be aware of. I say to you, I certainly get annoyed while people consider worries that they plainly don’t know about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top as well as defined out the whole thing without having side effect , people could take a signal. Will probably be back to get more. Thanks
